CONSULAR AFFAIRS SECTION

This Section contains important information about the Consular Services that are offered at the Embassy as outlined below:

Consular Services

The Embassy provides various Consular Services to Kenyans resident or visiting the State of Israel as guided by the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (VCCR) 1963. The Convention provides for an Embassy which represents a government in a host country to offer consular service to her nationals. The Embassy of Kenya in Israel therefore, provides the following Consular Services:

  • Legalization (authentication) of official documents issued by the Government of Kenya
  • Legalization (authentication) of documents issued by competent Israeli Authorities and Institutions  
  • Assistance to Kenyans in Israel in case of arrest and/or detention
  • Advise on passport Application. NOTE:  Kenyans in Diaspora will be able to apply for the new Kenyan passport from the following Kenyan Embassies and consulates overseas;
        1. Washington DC, USA.
        2. London, UK.
        3. Berlin, Germany.
        4. Paris, France.
        5. Dubai, UAE.
        6. Pretoria, South Africa.
  • Application for Birth Certificates for children of Kenyans born in Israel, or for duplicates of lost birth certificates
  • Application for Certificate of Good Conduct
  • Applications for Kenyan Driving licenses
  • Application for Certificate of “No-impediment to Marriage”
  • Requirements for non-Kenyans wishing to conduct a marriage ceremony in Kenya
  • Marriage Registration Form in Kenya
  • Renunciation of Kenyan Citizenship

VISA SECTION

WARNING ON FRAUDULENT E-VISA APPLICATION WEBSITES

The Embassy of Republic of Kenya wishes to alert all potential e-visa applicants  to Kenya of the existence of scam site https://www.kenya-evisa-onlinevisa.com and https://www.kenyaonlinevisa.org. These sites which are designed in such a way that can be mistaken for the official Government of Kenya e-visa website. 

This is therefore to encourage prospective Kenya e-visa applicants to make their application through the official Government website http://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html
Note: the Government of Kenya will not be responsible for any loss of monies or extra charges occasioned   through the use of the unofficial scam site.

VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Visa application and payment for SINGLE JOURNEY VISAREFERRAL VISA, MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA and the TRANSIT VISA will be done online through the portal: www.evisa.go.ke  using the procedure outlined below.
 

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE FOR VISITORS 

1. Go to www.evisa.go.ke  and click on the register button.

2. register as a visitor.

3. complete the registration.

4. Once registered and logged in click on Department of Immigration

5. Then submit an application.

6. Click on the Kenyan Visa.

7. Click on the Visa Applicaion Form and the requirements

8. Fill in the application form and PAY ONLINE.

PASSPORT AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Kenyan Passports

Under the New Constitution, every citizen of Kenya is, subject to the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Act, 30th August, 2011, Part V-Passports and other Travel Documents, entitled upon application, in the prescribed manner, to be issued with a Passport or other Travel Documents to facilitate international travel.

Note

Kenyan Passport or Travel Document issued to Kenyan citizens remains the property of the Government of Kenya. The said documents MUST remain in the possession of its holder(s) until such time as there is lawful cause for its withdrawal, suspension or confiscation.

NEW CHANGES ON KENYAN CITIZENSHIP 
The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Tel Aviv would like to inform that the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Act (2011) which implements Chapter Three (3) of the Kenya Constitution took effect on 30th August 2011, effectively repealing the following Acts:
  • Kenya Citizenship Act Cap. 170
  • The Immigration Act Cap. 172
  • The Aliens Restriction Act Cap. 173 of the Laws of Kenya
Consequently, Kenyans residing in the State of Israel and who hold Israeli Passport should take note of the following: 
  1. A person born of a Kenyan parent irrespective of the place of birth automatically becomes a citizen of Kenya by birth.
  2. The Kenya Constitution confers automatic recognition to persons holding citizenship of other countries as citizens of Kenya by birth as long as they can able to prove parentage as stated above (i.e. provide Kenyan National Identity Cards; Passports etc).
